These terms are intentionally short. By using TumBite, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
What TumBite is
TumBite is a personal food journal for informational, non-medical use only. It is not a medical device, not a health app, and not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. See the full Legal & disclosure page for details — it's part of these terms.
Personal, informational use only
TumBite is licensed to you for your own personal, non-commercial, informational use. You may not use it to provide medical advice to others, resell access, or represent its output as clinical guidance of any kind.
No medical reliance
You agree not to rely on TumBite's scores, patterns, or any other output as medical advice, and to consult a qualified healthcare professional for any health concern, especially anything urgent. TumBite excludes alarm-level notes (like blood, unexplained weight loss, fever, night-waking symptoms, vomiting, or trouble swallowing) from its pattern analysis for exactly this reason — those deserve a doctor, not an app.
Your account
You're responsible for the accuracy of what you log and for keeping your device and account secure. You must be able to form a binding agreement to use TumBite (in most places, this means being at least 13, and old enough under your local law to consent to this kind of service).
Your content
You own the photos and notes you log. You grant TumBite a limited license to store and process that content solely to provide the app's features to you (see the Privacy policy for exactly how). We don't use your content for anything else.
Termination
You can stop using TumBite and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, violate these terms, or attempt to misuse the app outside its intended personal, informational use.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
TumBite is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TumBite and its creators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any decision made based on its informational output. To the same fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims arising from or relating to TumBite is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid us for the app in the past twelve months and ten US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the date at the top of this page, and, where significant, communicated in the app.
